Akulaku Group Supports Environmental Conservation by Planting 1001 Mangroves in Bali

DENPASAR [November 10th, 2023] – Akulaku Group, a leading digital financial and banking ecosystem in Southeast Asia, is actively contributing to environmental conservation efforts.

This commitment is manifested through the planting of 1001 mangrove seedlings in Teluk Benoa, Badung Regency, as part of the campaign titled #AkuHijaukanIndonesia (in English: GreenifyIndonesia).

Akulaku Group has partnered with a fundraising platform for forest and environmental conservation, LindungiHutan, to collaborate on increasing awareness and promoting mitigation actions against climate change impacts.

The planting of thousands of mangroves is aimed not only at supporting the preservation of coastal ecosystem balance, but also at enhancing carbon emission absorption, contributing to the efforts to achieve Net Zero Emission commitments.

Fan Zhang, the Chief Financial Officer of Akulaku Group, emphasized the importance of private sector participation in environmental conservation efforts. He expressed the potential to raise awareness and encourage further action against climate change.

“We are committed to actively participating in environmental conservation,” he said in an official statement on November 11.

The mangrove planting initiative is one of the ways Akulaku Group is demonstrating its commitment to supporting sustainable development goals (SDGs) in the field of environmental conservation and actively mitigating the impacts of climate change.

The mangrove planting event was attended by representatives from Akulaku Group, LindungiHutan, as well as the Bali Provincial Department of Marine and Fisheries.

Akulaku Group believes that every small step can bring long-term benefits to the local community. Through this mangrove planting initiative, Akulaku Group hopes to make a positive contribution and create tangible changes in the collective effort to achieve Net Zero Emissions.
